You are invited to take part in a global survey of mountain biodiversity and human wellbeing.

In January 2018, the Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment (GMBA) launched the project Toward biodiversity-related opportunities for sustainable development - a global social-ecological mountain comparison. The aim of this project is to perform a first coarse assessment of the state of, trends in, and relationship between biodiversity, ecosystem services, and human wellbeing in the world's mountains.

For this global assessment, analyses will be performed at the level of mountain ranges or sub-ranges. Accordingly, GMBA ask you for a broad picture of the mountain area you know, its nature, and the wellbeing of its inhabitants. As this questionnaire includes both questions from natural and social sciences, it may go beyond your field of expertise. Therefore you can indicate the confidence you have in your answer for each question individually. Space for comments and additional information is provided after each series of questions.

The survey should take you about 40 minutes to complete and GMBA very much value your contribution by May 31, 2018.

Please share this survey with your colleagues / contacts.
